I believe...

I hate Kevin Costmer, I just don't thinks he's a good actor but in Bull Durham ( which I watched because I DO like Susan Sarandon) he tells her a list of things he believes in. I like that so here's mine... I believe all people regardless of looks, religion, race or sexual orientation deserve the right to love who they want without judgement and to marry that person ( as long as both are consenting adults) if they so choose. I believe in a Supreme Power - footnote; I do Not believe it is God as defined by the Christian/Judeo Muslim faiths I believe that children should be more important than spouse's in a family. They did not ask to be born, they cannot protct themselves as adults can. I believe that the role of the government is to help and protect it's citizens, not to dictate thier private lives. I support welfare programs, nationalized health care, helping people who are not in a position to help themselves improve thier lives, thereby allowing them to pass it...

Kanye West/Taylor Swift hullabaloo

So I watched True Blood Sunday night NOT the VMA's, because frankly, I am too damn old to watch Mtv. I think it's mostly crap! However that being aid thanks to wonder of YouTube I've seen Kayne's idiotic interruption, Betonce's very classy attempt to make things right, Kayne's Leno appearence and Taylor Swift's View interview. Beyonce is not only an amazing talent, a beautiful woman and a gifted singer but a kind, and thoughtful human being, who despite not doing anything wrongm empathized with a flustered young womans feelings and made things better. Taylor Swift is this generations Debbie Gibson, she writes her own songs, they are age appropriate without being stupid ( i.e Chicken Noodle Soup) and I hope she has an ...

When life gives you lemons...

If you had asked me in high school where I thought I'd be in in 15 years, I'm not sure what I would have said, but I fairly certain it would have been no where near where I am today!!! I'm reading the James Frey novel A Million Little Pieces, and it's amazing how, in spite of the fact that I am not an addict, I really identify with the man. I feel that I am responsible for the choices I have made, I cannot blame them on biology or the failures of my parents, I made a choice over and over to do the things I have done. From quitting school, to driving illegally, to smoking pot and to commiting myself to Laura and the kids. I am not sorry about the last choice, the others I would change if I could. I am angry at Laura. That's not something I have not said to her, nor will I, but I am angry at Laura. She let me devote myself, my life, to being a second parent to those boys then she decided to leave and I was not consulted, they were not consulted. No one but her got a v...
