Kanye West/Taylor Swift hullabaloo
So I watched True Blood Sunday night NOT the VMA's, because frankly, I am too damn old to watch Mtv. I think it's mostly crap! However that being aid thanks to wonder of YouTube I've seen Kayne's idiotic interruption, Betonce's very classy attempt to make things right, Kayne's Leno appearence and Taylor Swift's View interview. Here's my thoughts...
Kanye West is an ass, he is rude way too convinced of the importance of his opinion, and inconsiderate in the extreme. If I were Taylor Swifts mother I would have followed him back to seat and smacked him in the face!
Beyonce is not only an amazing talent, a beautiful woman and a gifted singer but a kind, and thoughtful human being, who despite not doing anything wrongm empathized with a flustered young womans feelings and made things better.
Taylor Swift is this generations Debbie Gibson, she writes her own songs, they are age appropriate without being stupid ( i.e Chicken Noodle Soup) and I hope she has an enduring career, who knows LeeAnn Rimes managed it and she started in her teens so maybe Country fans are less fickle than pop fans. We'll see, regardless she did not desrve to have her moment, a moment she will never have again, ruined. Even if she won another VMA, that was her first, she was the first country singer to ever get one, she dreamed about that moment and no apology, or re-do will replace what he stole from her and that's the real tragedy!
His apology seemed sincere up till Jay mentioned his mother and what she'd think, it was like he had an out and he took it and suddenly it was all about Kayne, his loss, his grief his pain. That's so narcissistic I don't even know where to begin!!!
In a week the world will be looking elsewhere but Taylor Swift will still not have her moment back. That's a shame.
